Poetry, Stories and Mindful Communication CPD (Teacher Development – Part 3 Module)
The primary focus of this course is two-fold. Firstly, it will be on how to utilise short stories and poetry to enhance the teaching of the Eight-Week MBCT Programme. Secondly, this course will focus on how to become a more competent MBCT instructor through introducing artistry in communication and group skills. Interpersonal communication is so much part of our everyday life that we are hardly aware of it. Only when something goes wrong do we think about it.[read more=”Read More” less=”Read less”]A principal reason for attending this course is that in our work as mindfulness instructors we will face situations for which our common sense knowledge is insufficient and that we need help to develop this further.
- understanding your communication style
- increased competence
- tools that can change the way your communicate
- introducing you to the “communication square”, a model implemented in schools, hospitals and public and private sector companies
Each session includes a straightforward presentation, simple, clear and visual and a skills practice.
While this course is designed for those wishing to further their teacher development, it can be just as useful for any mindfulness teacher who simply wants to increase their skills as part of their CPD (i.e. this is a module of TD3, but you can take part without intending to complete TD3).
This course will take place at our London venue in Honor Oak Park, SE23.
The course begins at 10.30 am and ends at 6pm.
Fee: £250 (£220 if paid 2 calendar months prior to start of the course)
NOTE: All participants are required to provide evidence of their mindfulness teaching experience in order to take part on this course. NOTE: All participants are required to provide evidence of their mindfulness teaching experience in order to take part on this course.[/read]
